My hair is very curly and in the summer it is so humid around here that it's always frizzy! So, I wanted to try what everyone was talking about but being that I know what formaldehyde can do to you I was excited to hear that Brazilian Blowout Zero was formaldehyde free!
I drove 3 hours to the nearest salon that offered this option! It took 2.5 hours to do my hair, and then I drove back home after shopping a little bit and dinner. A literal full day event. My hair looked great, until I washed it 3 days later! With my hair I only have to wash it every 2-3 days or so. I rinse it with water and condition it but since it was a blow out style, I didn't even have to do that!
After I washed it, it looked exactly like it did before! I called the salon and the stylist said to come back and she would do it again. So.................I drove 3 hours BACK to her and she redid the procedure.
She said she didn't understand why it didn't take as she did everything correct. When I told her I had done some research and had seen others that also didn't take, she argued and said, no it should take.
Well, again, after I washed my hair it went back the same! After spending over $300 and 12 hours driving I was livid! I didn't contact her again, but I did contact Brazilian Blowout on more than one occasion and not only did they not respond to me but on their Facebook page they deleted my comments then un-friended me!
Talk about a company who doesn't stand behind their claims! Don't waste your time or money on this scam!
I've heard great things about the Coppola process so maybe I will try that!
I am getting back in shape after years of denial! I will be posting not only exercises and recipes, but also spa treatments you can do at home! Treat yourself to a luxurious experience...you deserve it! This renews your mind, body, and soul. Even though everyone is cutting back that doesn't mean you have to in the beauty area or health of your sanity!

First day in Acupuncture for fertility practice!
Today we began doing acupuncture for fertility! We've been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 years now with no luck! My significant other is a Physician and is also licensed in Acupuncture. He has known about acupuncture and fertility issues before but wanted to refresh his knowledge with a class prior to beginning with me.
Every morning I have to take my temperature, first thing. I don't even get out of bed, I simply reach up, get my thermometer and stick it in my mouth! As I learn more about it I will blog about what is happening, and what is done! You never know how many people have problems with fertility until you open up and let them in!

Great workout!
Today I began working with my ladders again and boy did it feel good! If you want a hard workout that you can do at home then get an agility ladder! They aren't too expensive yet you will work up a sweat in no time!
When doing agility work you can also do a low impact kind of plyometrics work. Plyometrics is essentially used to help build a faster reaction on an athlete. This shocks your system and aids in getting you fitter faster but you must only do Plyometrics once a week or so to avoid injury.
Using ladders and doing a lower impact of the same jumping and bouncing exercises but you can do them more often with less risk of injury!
I did it for about 15 minutes and man did I feel it! LOVE, Love, love! I will list some drills on here if I am requested to do so! YEAH!

Breville One-Touch Tea Maker Review
Breville One-Touch Tea Maker |
I have been wanting this tea maker for over 3 months now! Have researched it to death and finally was able to get one with a coupon to save myself 20% or $50 being that it retails for $249 and I have yet to find it "on sale"! I purchased it at Teavana, where I purchase most of my teas. It's a lot of money for some but we don't drink coffee in our house, just tea!
This is the first machine that is most like a coffee maker, being that you can set it to brew before you get up so that you have tea waiting for you! What I love about it also is that the basket automatically descends into the water and then once it has finished brewing it lifts the basket again!
For anyone who makes tea as much as I do using loose leaf tea, you know the pain of standing there waiting for the timer to go off because if you leave the leaves in too long you end up with a very bitter taste!
It is very easy to set up, clean, and use. The only downside I have noticed so far is that you must be VERY careful as to not run water over the Carafe. I am assuming because of the electronics under it on the base. If you drink tea you need not wash it because the more tea that is brewed in a pot the better and more complex the tea will taste from that point out.
Again, yes it is expensive, but so are the teas I purchase. With this machine I won't be wasting any of the tea leaves! We don't drink sodas, sweetened processed drinks, or coffee so in the long run we are saving money. I drink at least 4 cups a day (White, Rooibos, Oolong, Green, and Herbal, rarely black) and if you go to Starbucks for tea, it's about $2.50+ for a cup so that would be $10 day. With that math it will pay for itself in about 30 days when you add in the cost that I pay for my leaves and German Rock Sugar or Agave.
If you have any questions then please ask! So far, I love this! It's a dream for tea drinkers!!
